Terms and Conditions
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who lists or books outdoor advertising space on advert.bid. By creating an account, listing a billboard, making a request or offer, or booking, you agree to them, together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are and what we do
advert.bid (“advert.bid”, “we”, “us”) runs an online marketplace at advert.bid where owners of outdoor advertising space (“Owners”) list billboards and other media, and advertisers (“Advertisers”) find, request and book them. Owners and Advertisers are together “Users”. You can contact us at hello@advert.bid.
advert.bid is a platform and intermediary only. We are not the owner, operator, landlord or seller of any advertising space, we do not install, print or maintain anything, and we are not a party to the agreement between an Owner and an Advertiser.
2. Business use
advert.bid is for businesses. You confirm that you use it in the course of your trade, business or profession, that you are at least 18, and that you have authority to bind any company you act for. Consumer protection rules that apply only to consumers do not apply to your use of advert.bid, to the extent the law allows.
3. Accounts and companies
- You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- A company’s admins decide who joins it. Members of a company can act for it, including making, accepting and paying for bookings, and the company is bound by what they do.
- We may verify your identity, email address or company, and refuse or close accounts at our discretion.
4. Listings (Owners)
- Your listings must be accurate and complete: location, size, media type, photos, price and availability. You must keep your calendar up to date.
- You confirm that you own or are authorised to let the space, and that it has, and will keep, every permit, planning permission, licence, landlord consent and insurance it needs, and is safe and maintained.
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and promote your listings, photos and descriptions on advert.bid and in our marketing.
- We may edit, pause, feature or remove any listing at any time.
5. Requests, offers and bookings
- An Advertiser may request dates at the listed rate or, where an Owner allows it, make an offer. Owners may accept, decline or make one counter offer. Offers below an Owner’s minimum may be declined automatically.
- When an Owner accepts a request or offer (or an Advertiser accepts a counter offer), a binding agreement for the advertising space is formed directly between the Owner and the Advertiser on these terms. advert.bid is not a party to it.
- After booking, the Advertiser supplies print-ready artwork by the date shown, the Owner reviews it, and the Owner prints, installs and adds a proof photo when the advert is up. Each party is responsible for its own steps and deadlines.
6. Artwork and advert content (Advertisers)
You are solely responsible for your artwork and advert content. It must be lawful, accurate and not misleading, must comply with all advertising rules and standards that apply in Malta, and must not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights. You grant the Owner the rights needed to print and display it for the booking. Owners may refuse artwork that does not meet their specifications or that they consider unlawful or unsuitable.
7. Prices, payment and our fee
- Prices are set by Owners and shown in euro. Owners are responsible for any VAT or other taxes on what they charge.
- Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By paying, you also agree to its terms. We never see or store full card details.
- advert.bid charges Owners a commission on each booking, currently 3% while we launch. It is deducted from the payment before the Owner’s share is paid out. We may change our fees with notice for future bookings.
- Until card payments are available for a booking, the Owner and Advertiser arrange payment between them and the Owner confirms it on advert.bid.
8. Keeping it on advert.bid
All communication and payment for space found on advert.bid must go through advert.bid. You must not share or ask for contact details to arrange, or arrange, a booking outside advert.bid with a User you met here, for 12 months after you first came into contact. We hide contact details in messages. If you circumvent advert.bid, we may close your account and you must pay us the fee we would have earned on the booking.
9. Cancellations, changes and disputes
Cancellations, changes, refunds and disputes about a booking are between the Owner and the Advertiser. We may help, for example by reviewing the conversation and handover on advert.bid, and may refund or hold payments where the law or our payment provider allows, but we have no obligation to resolve disputes and are not liable for their outcome.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless advert.bid and its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, penalties, costs and expenses (including legal fees on a full indemnity basis) arising out of or in connection with:
- your use of advert.bid, your account, or anything done through it or by members of your company;
- your listings, advertising space, artwork, adverts or other content;
- any booking, agreement, payment, installation or dispute between you and another User;
- any missing or breached permit, planning permission, licence, consent or insurance, or any accident, damage or injury involving advertising space or its installation;
- any infringement of intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or any breach of law or advertising rules; and
- any breach of these terms or our Terms of Use.
This indemnity continues after your account is closed.
11. Our liability
- advert.bid is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee listings, Users, availability, results, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for anything done or not done by a User.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid to advert.bid in that period, or €100 if more.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.
12. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account, remove listings or content, or cancel pending requests at any time if we believe these terms have been broken, to protect Users or advert.bid, or as required by law. You may close your account by contacting us; bookings already made stay binding between the parties.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. We will post the new version here with its date and, for significant changes, tell registered Users. Continuing to use advert.bid after a change means you accept it.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. The courts of Malta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or your use of advert.bid. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
